WEcircleValley is a cross-sectoral centre of expertise for the circular bioeconomy, focusing on agriculture and the food industry in the Weser-Ems region. Its aim is to connect stakeholders across the value chain, initiate innovation projects and put sustainable, circular solutions into practice. The hub brings together business, academia and partners from the field.

WEcircleValley sees itself as a platform for bringing together stakeholders, expertise and ideas relating to the circular bioeconomy in the Weser-Ems region of Lower Saxony. The focus is on how biogenic resources can be used more efficiently and how material cycles can be closed, particularly in the agricultural and food sectors. The competence hub brings together companies, agricultural businesses, start-ups and academic stakeholders to develop and implement practical solutions.

By identifying suitable waste and by-product streams and developing viable recycling pathways, WEcircleValley contributes to resource conservation, climate protection and regional value creation. Through knowledge transfer and networking, the hub fosters collaboration, initiates innovation projects and strengthens new business models. The aim is to translate a sustainable bioeconomy into marketable applications and to create long-term economic and environmental added value.
