TransBIB – Boost. Industrial. Bioeconomy.

TransBIB - Training courses
The training platform for the industrial bioeconomy

Your digital forum for expanding knowledge on current bioeconomy topics.

Trainings

As part of TransBIB, we present comprehensive training material that addresses both beginners and experts. Our approach combines scientific principles with practical content to make the challenges and opportunities of the industrial bioeconomy tangible. After our industry workshops, the materials will be available to a wide audience here - ideal for anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge or reorient themselves.

The training materials on offer are constantly being expanded and adapted.

SURVEY
What skills do you actually need for the bioeconomy in the construction industry?

Specialists in the bioeconomy need a wide range of skills: a spirit of innovation for new things, resilience and foresight are particularly important. Scientific expertise (e.g. in biology and chemistry) enables the critical consideration of interdisciplinary issues. Communication skills for stakeholder dialogue are also essential. What technological, digital, classic and transformative competencies are needed in the construction industry for the biologization of industries?

SURVEY
What skills do executives need for the bioeconomy in the automotive industry?

Managers in the bioeconomy need a wide range of skills. These include the ability to innovate, systemic thinking and the ability to evaluate interdisciplinary relationships. A professional understanding of scientific and technological fundamentals is just as relevant as communicative skills for dialogue with different stakeholders. This survey examines which competencies already exist and which will be increasingly needed in the future in order to effectively implement bioeconomic approaches in the automotive industry.

Bioeconomy in a nutshell

Bioeconomy – explained in an understandable
What does bioeconomy mean and which sectors are affected by it? The film gives a compact introduction to the biologization of industries and shows how biological principles are increasingly being integrated into economic processes. Both the opportunities and the challenges of this change will be examined – vividly and practically.

Biotechnologie & Biomanufacturing

What possibilities of value creation are available to us through modern methods of biotechnology? We will introduce you to fermentation, protein engineering and the potential of biological adhesion mediators with everyday examples and use cases.

Bioeconomy in the plastics industry

From bioplastics to modified biomass: We provide compact information about the variations of bio-based polymers as well as their properties and applications. The topic of degradability is examined as well as the processing conditions.

Fibre-reinforced plastics

Composite materials made of fibers and polymer matrix combine high mechanical strength with low material weight. We present the possibilities of using bio-based and renewable fibres in contrast to energy-intensive glass or carbon fibres.

Bioeconomy in the construction industry

Natural materials for more sustainability and energy savings: We highlight the importance of a rethink in the construction industry and show exemplary materials and technologies. The content ranges from the use of biological insulation materials to future technologies.

Basics: Certification systems in the bioeconomy

Certification systems create transparency and orientation along bio-based value chains.TransBIB's asynchronous learning units (ALE) offer practical insights into the basics and industry-specific requirements.Further learning units will be available in the TransBIB One-Stop-Shop in the near future. Certification schemes for wood products in the building sector

How can the sustainability and origin of wood products be transparently proven?

In the TransBIB learning unit, we give a compact introduction to certification systems in the building sector at product and building level.

Tasks with solutions support self-study. The learning unit is available in the TransBIB One-Stop-Shop. Registration is required for access.
