Accelerating the industrial bioeconomy together!
The bioeconomy plays a central role on the path to a sustainable and future-proof economy. It promises to utilise resources more efficiently, reduce emissions and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
The TransBIB Symposium 2024 in Straubing was a decisive milestone in promoting this change. Over 100 participants took the opportunity to contribute their expertise and play an active role in shaping the future of the bioeconomy.
On 11 and 12 September 2024, numerous experts from various areas of the bioeconomy came together at the TUM Campus Straubing for "Sustainable Chemistry". The first interdisciplinary TransBIB event was all about networking. Particularly noteworthy was the first-ever gathering of stakeholders from over 20 national competence regions, who took the opportunity to engage in intensive dialogue and jointly pave the way for a more bio-based economy.
An intensive dialogue between science, industry and politics is crucial in order to remove barriers and accelerate the industrial bioeconomy.
This symposium not only marked a first step towards stronger networking within the bioeconomy, but also the beginning of a more intensive exchange between the various stakeholders. Because only together can we accelerate the transition to a bio-based, resource-conserving economy and secure a sustainable future for generations to come.
