TransBIB – Boost. Industrial. Bioeconomy.

Local bioeconomy: Southern Palatinate networks

The bioeconomy is a key building block for a sustainable and resilient future – including in the Southern Palatinate. TransBIB is bringing together regional players from the bioeconomy and biotechnology sectors at a local networking event to raise awareness of existing projects, generate new ideas and strengthen sustainable networks.

The half-day event provides a platform for exchange between companies, academia and innovation networks. The focus is on the region's potential, current bioeconomy and biotechnology projects, and opportunities for cooperation along the entire value chain.

The event is being organised in cooperation with Life Science Zentrum Mainz GmbH/BioVation RLP and Ecoliance GreenTech Innovation GmbH, with the support of the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy and Mobility. The event is initiated by the TransBIB project partners Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar GmbH and TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe GmbH.

Be there and play an active role in shaping the future of the bioeconomy in the Southern Palatinate. Further information on the programme will follow shortly.

Project information

TransBIB focuses specifically on end customer workshops to promote innovation in the industrial bioeconomy. These workshop series have two central objectives:

  • Identify barriers: Uncover barriers to innovation together with producers, processors and users of bio-based raw materials
  • Develop solution strategies: Dialogue at eye level creates approaches to overcome these obstacles - for a more efficient implementation of innovative, bio-based products.

The multidirectional exchange formats promote open dialog between all participants and thus create space for new technologies and sustainable solutions.
