34th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition EUBCE 2026

The European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE) 2026 is one of the world’s leading events in the field of biomass and bioenergy and has been bringing together international stakeholders from research, industry and politics for over 40 years.

In 2026, more than 1,500 participants from over 60 countries are expected to attend to discuss current developments and future prospects in the fields of biomass, bioenergy and the circular bioeconomy. The conference offers a varied programme comprising scientific presentations, workshops, exhibitions and interactive sessions.

There is a particular focus on linking research with industrial applications: the scientific programme, coordinated by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, covers the full spectrum of biomass research, technologies and applications – with the aim of bringing innovative solutions to market more quickly.

In terms of content, the EUBCE covers key topics such as sustainable resources for decarbonisation, political and systemic frameworks, bioenergy and bio-based products, as well as the conversion of biomass into fuels, materials and chemicals. The programme is complemented by an industry track.

In addition to professional discussions, the event offers numerous networking opportunities, including an exhibition showcasing EU-funded projects, as well as events such as a reception, a conference dinner and networking lunches, which foster dialogue between academia, industry and the political sphere.
