Not the right partner – and yet a perfect match
The TransBIB matching platform brings together stakeholders in the bioeconomy and forges precisely the kind of links that give rise to new ideas, collaborations and innovations. This case study shows that not every match necessarily leads directly to a joint project.
A company specialising in the trade and brokerage of residual, by-product and bio-based raw materials used the TransBIB matching platform to search specifically for suitable contacts for a particular project. The initial exchange took place via the platform and was later continued in person at a trade event in Leipzig.
It became clear that, whilst the match partner was not the ideal point of contact for the original project, the discussion did provide valuable insights, new perspectives and crucial contacts. Among other things, this led to a connection with a research institution that will be able to support the project in future.
That is precisely where the strength of the matching platform lies: it brings people together, opens up new perspectives and forges connections that go far beyond the original purpose.
After all, every conversation helps to expand your network – and sometimes that is precisely the first step towards a successful collaboration.
