Details Competence Hubs
Definition of competence hub and cluster
The industrial bioeconomy thrives on strong networks and joint initiatives. TransBIB therefore pursues an open, cooperative approach in order to promote exchange between different players and utilise synergies. We see the diversity of the competence hubs and clusters, both organisationally, thematically and in terms of maturity, as an enrichment: it allows us to learn from each other and create added value together. Whether young networks or established structures with a nationwide reach - TransBIB offers everyone a platform for networking.
A competence hub in the industrial bioeconomy is characterised by a clearly organised structure that is coordinated by a legitimate representative or group of representatives. These network managers ensure the flow of information within the region as well as in the superordinate TransBIB network. In addition, a competence hub has a recognisable thematic profile based on existing industrial bioeconomy expertise and can be located regionally.
