TransBIB – Boost. Industrial. Bioeconomy.

Kickoff-Konferenz "Kreislaufwirtschaft in der Bioökonomie in Weser-Ems"

To mark the launch of the “Circular Economy in the Bioeconomy in Weser-Ems” project, we are inviting relevant stakeholders from business, academia, public administration and civil society to come together and develop concrete ideas for a sustainable, circular bioeconomy in the Weser-Ems region.

At the kick-off conference on 6 May 2026 at the Centre for Environmental Communication (ZUK) in Osnabrück, we will present the project “Circular Economy in the Bioeconomy in Weser-Ems” in detail. External speakers will also deliver engaging keynote talks offering insights into the challenges, best practices, existing clusters and projects relating to bio-based products.

The afternoon will focus on interactive workshop sessions, during which we would like to work with you on topics such as regulatory challenges, digital platforms, project approaches and other issues, which we will finalise based on the participants’ interests.

We look forward to your participation and to an inspiring discussion on strengthening the circular economy within the bioeconomy in the Weser-Ems region.

Attendance at the event is free of charge. Please register by 17 April 2026.

Project information

TransBIB focuses specifically on end customer workshops to promote innovation in the industrial bioeconomy. These workshop series have two central objectives:

  • Identify barriers: Uncover barriers to innovation together with producers, processors and users of bio-based raw materials
  • Develop solution strategies: Dialogue at eye level creates approaches to overcome these obstacles - for a more efficient implementation of innovative, bio-based products.

The multidirectional exchange formats promote open dialog between all participants and thus create space for new technologies and sustainable solutions.
