Regionalforum Bioökonomie 2026: "Wirksam vor Ort"
Under the motto "Effective on site", the BioökonomieREVIER initiative invites you to the Regional Bioeconomy Forum 2026. The focus will be on how the bioeconomy can become a key growth driver for the Rhineland region and what concrete opportunities this will bring for the economy, local authorities and regional stakeholders.
In his keynote speech, Jan-Philipp Kramer (Prognos, Brussels) will show how the new EU bioeconomy strategy can be translated into concrete interregional potential and which European success stories offer guidance for smart specialisation in the region.
Further contributions highlight how the strategic approach is being implemented locally: from innovative demonstration sites such as Merzenich-Bürgewald to new business models and developments in agriculture and industry. This shows how a bio-based, sustainable economic system with a future can be created for the Rhineland mining area.
Participants can expect to hear about the latest research findings, see practical examples from the region and enjoy a wide range of opportunities to exchange ideas with experts. During the programme break, themed islands will provide space for networking and in-depth discussions. There will also be an opportunity to meet the BioökonomieREVIER team and find out more about what the initiative has to offer.
