The Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region (MRN) is a planning region in the border triangle of Baden-Württemberg, Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate. With over 60 companies, more than 50 educational and research centres and a network of 30 start-up and technology promotion institutions, the MRN supports sustainable value chains based on biogenic residues and CO₂ utilisation.

Processes, scaling and product samples: The industrial bioeconomy in the MRN includes processes for the production of bio-based materials and chemicals, for the material and energy recovery of residual materials and for CO₂ utilisation. The aim is to create sustainable products and production cycles and to promote innovative bio-based business models.
