TransBIB – Boost. Industrial. Bioeconomy.

Scaling infrastructure

The TransBIB project records the infrastructure available in Germany that is available to external partners for the scaling of biotechnological processes. The collected data is made publicly available in order to connect companies looking for infrastructure with suitable providers. The results of the survey are made available in a user-friendly way via the One-Stop Shop on the TransBIB website. Below you will find brief statistics on the results to date.

Distribution of scaling offers in Germany

The survey results to date show a strong supply of (parts of) plants in NRW and central Germany. There are only a few offers in the north and south so far.

Provider of scaling infrastructure

Half of the infrastructure on offer comes from SMEs and industry. A quarter each is offered by universities and research institutions.
