Abonocare®

Innovationscluster abonocare®

The strategic goal of the abonocare® cluster is to integrate corporate and research activities in the areas of organic waste utilisation, water treatment and nutrient recycling into an interdisciplinary innovation cluster. abonocare® aims to visualise material flows and best practices, network stakeholders and act as a link between the bioeconomy, waste management and circular economy, research and technology providers. Events, dialogue formats and workshops are to be held in order to initiate development projects.
The cluster supports members with their scale-up strategy, funding acquisition and knowledge exchange for market development as well as employee training.

The abonocare® cluster aims to attract new members from science, industry and plant engineering in the Central German region and beyond in order to promote the development of a closed technology chain for the treatment of organic residues and process water. The existing network from the completed growth core abonocare® (term 2019 to 2022, 17 partners) serves as a know-how and technology base. The strategic objectives are to further develop it into a competence network, strengthen innovation, accelerate the transfer of research results to companies and open up markets for products. The cluster aims to contribute to the further expansion of the bioeconomy and circular economy, to the development of a sustainable raw materials base and to the qualification of personnel in the Central German region.
